We got back out into full day territory today with a good local Naples crew. It was a little bumpy this morning out of the east so, We started off by anchoring on a wreck in 65ft and catching many pigfish and hard tails for bait. After blacking out the well with baits we pushed on offshore to a good snapper ledge to catch the tide for the yellowtails. 1/4 ounce white jigheads were the ticket today for the hungry tails. After punching our snapper cards we headed west to the areas where we have been finding nice concentrations of Red Grouper. Luckily once again the big red grouper’s were fired up again today, After losing a few to the bottom on light tackle rigs we ended up putting a limit of nice fish in the box. We soon finished up our day letting the guys tug on big Amberjack on the way home. The bite is Red Hot and should continue to get better as spring approaches.
